Boys in the Hood

[IMAGE] On the left is Lieutenant Mike Loman, the guy who turned the radio division over to me. On the right is Electronics Mate Second Class Lou Bosch. Bosch was my reactor operator on countless engineering watches. The crew's mess looks a bit like a fish house with the hemp rope around the column and the lantern. Behind the pole is the movie projector. Behind Bosch is the ladder to operations upper level (see how steep it is?) and to the right is the passageway to the TDU, the trash disposal unit, a vertical torpedo tube for ejecting trash at sea, and on the other side of the ladder is the ladder to ops lower level to the gyro space, AMR1 and the torpedo room.

[IMAGE] Another shot of the crew's mess.
